- Candidate Skillmatch Profile – This document should be completed jointly between the candidate and the candidate’s supervisor/line manager and sent to AET office prior to commencement of assessment for the work-based performance units.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: When registering on the 2357-44 NVQ level 3 you will need to undertake a written bridging unit to complete the NVQ process.
PLEASE contact the office at your earliest convenience to arrange a date and time for this to be taken at our centre in Harlow. We are open every other Saturday (9am – 11pm) so not to interrupt your working week. Otherwise we are open from 8am to 4pm Mon – Fri.
As this is a mandatory unit within the 2357-44 NVQ framework you must undertake this 1.5 hour assessment.
Please note: If this unit is not completed within first 4 weeks of registration it will delay your NVQ completion date and may cause additional charges.
Entry Requirements
All Electrical Training are now offering NVQ Level 3 for both City & Guilds tech cert 2365-02/03 and EAL tech cert
This qualification is only valid for candidates who have completed the technical qualification in either:-
City & Guilds 2365 level 2 and 3 you will require the City & Guilds 2357-44 NVQ pathway)
EAL Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations 600/9331/6 you will require City Guilds 2357-91 NVQ pathway)
If the learner has completed their tech qualifications and now need to complete the NVQ level 3 qualification to achieve JIB gold card status: You must be able to provide sufficient valid and authentic evidence from site on previous work to demonstrate that they can fully meet the performance requirements within each unit of this qualification. References will be required. including 17th Edition.
Additionally you must of at least completed one of the following:
A CV listing previous employers and work experience with a list of installation works carried out.
- The candidate will have to undertake a AM2 competence assessment
- Build a portfolio under the supervision of an assessor
Please note:
However, irrespective of the knowledge evidence presented, the assessment centre must be able to show through auditable evidence that the candidate has fully satisfied the knowledge requirements of each unit. The candidate will also be expected to demonstrate acceptable knowledge of the current industry requirements with respect to the IET wiring regs and inspection & Testing.
Duration and Costs
Total cost would be charged as follows:
2357-44 & 2357-91 NVQ level 3 is charged at £1800.00 INC VAT (£1500.00 + VAT) Minimum duration 6 Months Maximum duration allowed 9 months ( this is discussed direct with assessor)
Total cost would be charged as follows:
AM2 competence assessment £1008.00 INC VAT (£840.00 + VAT)
AM2 prep Day (optional) £222.00 INC (£185 + VAT)
